CHRISTMAS CHARITY BAZAAR UNDER CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE’S AUSPICES

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine officially opened the traditional Christmas Charity Bazaar for the handicrafts of refugee women and children with special needs at the Stadion Shopping Centre. Total revenue from the sale of the handicrafts is intended to help vulnerable groups.

The opening of the Charity Bazaar was also attended by Mr. Vladimir Cucic, Commissioner for Refugees and Migration, members of the Advisory Bodies of the Crown The Hon. Mr Branko Terzic and Mr Zoran Zivanovic, Dr Zsofia Pusztai, director of World Health Organization in Serbia, as well as the representatives of the diplomatic corps.

“In the next two days you will have the opportunity to see and enjoy beautiful handicrafts made by these creative women and their associations. These women were compelled to leave the security of their homes and create their lives far away from their homes. Thanks to their handicrafts, they have supported their families during the most difficult times. All proceeds from this bazaar will be in support of these women and children with disabilities. I am very happy that children with disabilities also exhibit their works here. Please tell your friends and relatives about this excellent bazaar and invite them to see the handicrafts. I wish all of you much success and I thank everyone for their great support”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

Crown Princess Katherine and her Foundation have been organizing Charity Christmas and Easter Bazaars for many years to help displaced persons, refugees and socially vulnerable people who support their families by selling these beautiful handicrafts. More than 40 exhibitors from all over Serbia will participate at this year’s Bazaar. The Crown Princess Katherine Foundation is grateful for the kindness and hospitality of the management of the Stadion Shopping Centre.

The Holiday Bazaar of the handicrafts will be open to the public on December 14 and 15 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm in the main hall of the Stadion Shopping Centre.
