Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine visited the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic “National Front” and delivered an ultrasound machine worth 20,000 euros. The ultrasound was urgently needed for the most frequently visited department that sees well over 100 pregnant women every day. Princess Katherine also visited the clinic department for mothers with children and gave them gifts that she had prepared.
In her speech, HRH Princess Katherine said: “We have managed to meet your urgent request and donate an ultrasound machine for your hospital. Thanks to the kindness of the donors from England this device is now here. I hope it will enable better performance and faster treatment of pregnant mothers. Lifeline Humanitarian Organization Chicago whose patron I am, provided diapers for babies, too. My husband Crown Prince Alexander and I will continue to assist your hospital with the help of our dear friends as we have done so far. I am certain this piece of equipment will be used for the benefit of all citizens”.
The Director of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the “National Front” Hospital Professor Dr Snezana Rakic thanked Her Royal Highness for the valuable donation and of the ultrasound machine and said that the “Princess Katherine Foundation once again showed their support for improving health services and care for our new-borns by this valuable donation”.
Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine have regularly helped the work of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic “National Front” donating incubators, medical equipment, equipment for babies.
