The Royal Couple opens traditional Easter Bazaar of women refugees

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine opened today the traditional Easter Bazaar of women refugees in the House of Djura Jaksic, in Sakadarska Street in Belgrade.

At the beginning of the ceremony the guests and exhibitors were welcomed by HRH Crown Prince Alexander, HRH Crown Princess Katherine, who officially opened the Bazaar, and Mr. Vladimir Cucic, the Commissioner for Refugees of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

In her speech, Her Royal Highness emphasized: “It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the traditional Easter Bazaar. At the Bazaar today, tomorrow and the day after, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful works of these creative women. They had to leave their homes and find new life somewhere far away. In the difficult times that have befallen them, they support their dependents by their work. All proceeds from the purchase of these handcrafts is intended for these women and their families”.

The Bazaar will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation is particularly grateful to the Home of Djura Jaksic in Belgrade for the assistance in organizing the humanitarian Easter Bazaar.
