CROWN PRINCESS AND LIFELINE CHICAGO RENOVATE PLAYGROUND IN SPOMENAK ORPHANAGE

The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, which is under the patronage of Her Royal Highness, continue their support of the Spomenak Orphanage in Pancevo, Serbia, with the complete renovation of its’ playground.

This contribution, which will be key in enabling the children of the orphanage to play and to thrive in a safe environment, was made possible by an incredibly generous donation from Mr. and Mrs. David and Nada Stevens, who also visited this home last Friday and who have also generously donated to its’ renovation in past years, in addition to this most recent donation. The work that was performed included: the replacement of all wooden seats on the sports stands, the painting of all metal structures of the stands, and brand new swings, seesaws, and climbing apparatuses/gyms.

“I am very happy that with this donation we gave children the opportunity to have a more beautiful and safe space for them to play. Thanks to Lifeline Chicago and my Foundation in Belgrade, the children from orphanages know that we always think of them. Our children deserve every possible support, and we are always here to share our love for them” said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

Vladimir Stevanovski, the Principal of “Spomenak” Orphanage in Pancevo, expressed his gratitude to the donors: “On behalf of the children, I warmly thank our long-term friends – HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. David and Nada Stevens who have been generously helping the children in all our institutions for years. The renovation of our playground by Mr. and Mrs. Stevens is of great importance, it means so much to our children and all of us who work in Spomenak”.
