CROWN PRINCESS AND LIFELINE CHICAGO ASSIST “6 OCTOBER” SCHOOL

The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, which is under the patronage of Her Royal Highness, made a significant donation to the “6 October” School in Kikinda, Serbia. This school carries out educational work in the fields of primary education and the upbringing of students with developmental disabilities.

The main goal of this contribution is for better learning conditions for the children and was made possible by a generous donation from the Stanich Family and the Pittsburgh Tri-State Committee of Lifeline Chicago.

This school was provided with a stair climber, an assistant device used to lift wheelchairs up and down school staircases, donation of Stanich Family, and two specialized walkers to assist children with cerebral palsy per more effective physical therapies and to follow the classes, donated by the Pittsburgh Tri-State Committee.

“I am very happy that we have successfully implemented another important project aimed at helping children. I thank Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, Stanich Family and Pittsburgh/Tri-State Committee for the funds raised and for their willingness to always support and provide for such projects.

We all must do what we can to support our children, to ensure that they have good conditions for living, learning, and for having the best possible childhood. A popular children’s song in Serbia beautifully says that “Children are the decoration, an adornment of the world”. When we see the young ones happy and smiling, the whole world is much nicer and more beautiful because of their smiles”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

Mr. Srđan Stojanović, the Principal of the “6th October” School thanked HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Stanich Family, Pittsburgh/Tri-State Committee, and Lifeline Chicago for this donation and emphasized how highly important it is for the pupils of the school.
