HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited today the ladies in the old people’s home Bezanijska Kosa and gave them flowers. Following the tradition that was set years ago, Crown Princess shared flowers she received on International Women’s Day from distinguished guests at the Ladies’ Lunch, with a wish to share the joy and bring happiness to the old ladies.
Lunch in honour of International Women’s Day – 8 March, is a traditional event the Crown Princess organizes to bring together wives of senior Serbian officials, lady ambassadors, wives of ambassadors, representatives of international organizations in Serbia, and other distinguished ladies, celebrating the contribution of women to society and making strong connections and friendships between prominent ladies in Serbia.
“Since the establishment of my Foundation, we made sure that the elderly know that they are not forgotten and have dedicated part of our activities to support them. Their contribution to our world, wisdom, and life experience should be a guideline for young people. I also strongly believe that it is not just supporting old people’s homes with important equipment, but also showing love and affection to the elderly. A caring word and a warm smile means so much to these wonderful ladies, and I enjoyed so much visiting them today.
I was so happy receiving all the beautiful flowers from dear guests at the Ladies’ Lunch, and I wanted to share this happiness with ladies from the home. We will always try to help and make life more beautiful and joyful for the elderly. I wish you to be happy and to feel the love of your children and grandchildren” stated HRH Crown Princess Katherine on this occasion.
Mrs. Marija Gavrilović, General Manager of Old People’s Home Bezanijska Kosa welcomed Her Royal Highness and thanked her for her continuous support of this home.
