The Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine, proudly continues its tradition of bringing joy to children in need at Christmas. Two large transatlantic containers carrying more than 1,200 pallets of clothing and toys were shipped to Serbia just in time for the Christmas holiday season.
More than 1,000 children attended the Christmas receptions at The White Palace on January 3rd of this year. Each child received a large festive Christmas gift bag containing brand-new sweatpants, sweatshirts, t-shirts, gym shoes, socks, and hygiene kits. Younger children also received a toy in addition to their new clothing. All gifts were personalized for each child and prepared with great love and dedication by the Board members, donors, benefactors, and volunteers of Lifeline Chicago, who once again made it possible for children in need in Serbia and Republika Srpska to experience the joy, love, and hope of Christmas.
Personalized Christmas presents were delivered to fourteen orphanages, four women’s shelters, and six additional institutions located in Belgrade, Sombor, Subotica, Kruševac, Bela Crkva, Aleksinac, Pančevo, Kragujevac, Paraćin, Stamnica, Veternik, Sremčica, and Kovin in Serbia, as well as in Modriča and Banja Luka in Republika Srpska.
