NEW RENOVATIONS OF KOVIN HOSPITAL BY CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE AND LIFELINE CHICAGO

Participants of Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago’s Mission Trip 2023 visited the Psychiatric Hospital in Kovin, Serbia, today and officially opened the newly refurbished premises.

This most recently completed humanitarian project is a continuation of the support that The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose patron is Her Royal Highness, have been providing to the hospital, which included the complete refurbishment of all of the first-floor bathrooms, as it is very important to continually improve the conditions of our hospitals.

The funding of this great undertaking was made possible by an incredibly generous donation from The John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation through The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago. The Wuchenich Foundation has already provided aid to Kovin Hospital on several occasions.

“We continue to help the Special Psychiatric Hospital Kovin so that the patients have the best possible conditions during treatment and recovery. I am very grateful to John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation and Lifeline Chicago for once again showing great devotion and dedication to providing for those in need.

Thanks to our wonderful people in the diaspora and their generosity, the Kovin Hospital patients have a much nicer environment and better living conditions.” said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

This visit was one of the many that participants of the Lifeline Chicago Mission Trip have planned during this visit. In the previous days Board members, supporters, and donors of this humanitarian organization visited many institutions they have assisted, including: Zvecanska, Vasa Stajic, Drinka Pavlovic, The Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj Homes for Children, Anton Skala and Sava Maksimovic elementary schools, various women’s shelters, and many other establishments.
