Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited today Arandjelovac Hospital and delivered a FIAT 500L and six electric beds for the intensive unit with a total value of 24,000 euros. The car will be used patients needing therapy, while the beds will significantly facilitate the recovery of patients who will be staying in the intensive care unit. Mr Bojan Radovic, Mayor of Arandjelovac, management and staff of the hospital, clergy and citizens welcomed Their Royal Highnesses.
The car was donated by Lifeline New York Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is Crown Princess Katherine, and the beds by the Lifeline Humanitarian Organization Chicago, whose patron is also the Crown Princess, as well as by Dr Danijel Djuraskovis Megler and TRIMEDIX Foundation.
The Royal Couple expressed their gratitude to friends and associates abroad, who for years have been supporting and helping their efforts to improve the health care system in Serbia.
Crown Prince and Crown Princess visited children’s department and gave gifts to children there, and after that they visited former orphanage within the hospital that was built by HM King Alexander I, grandfather of Crown Prince Alexander.
