The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose patron is Her Royal Highness, have organized Christmas meals at Homes for children without parental care and at Women’s Shelters and Safe Houses across Serbia and in the Republic of Srpska.
As a testament to their dedication in aiding those in need, Christmas dinners were delivered to thirteen homes for children and youth in Belgrade, Sombor, Kruševac, Kragujevac, Bela Crkva, Aleksinac, and Pančevo in Serbia and in Banja Luka in Republika Srpska, and to four women’s shelters in Serbia and in Republika Srpska.
Through the enjoyment of a bountiful and nourishing Christmas meal, the youngsters in the Children’s Homes, as well as the women and children residing in the Women’s Shelters, are given a sense of hope and peace from benefactors from across the globe.
“My husband and I are very grateful to each and every donor and benefactor of Lifeline Chicago for their generosity and support of our joint mission to bring happiness and comfort to our children for Christmas. The most important thing is that our children always know that they are loved and that they are never being forgotten. Our goal is to provide children with a safe environment and the opportunity to believe in a bright future, where love and community make a difference,” stated HRH Crown Princess Katherine on this occasion.
